KREOD showcased the KREOD Integrated DfMA Intelligent Automation (KIDIA) software on Dassault Systèmes and demonstrated how technological advancements have enabled property developers, architects, engineers, manufacturers, suppliers and contractors to collaborate more seamlessly.

KREOD addresses the limitations of Building Information Modeling (BIM), highlighting that it is insufficient for the needs of the AEC industries, particularly in the construction sector. Instead, we advocate for Integrated DfMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) Intelligent Automation workflows and business models as the way forward.

BIM has brought benefits, but it did not bring about the revival of the traditional ‘Master Architect‘ role for the profession. With attention to detail, understanding of fabrication and a high-power mechanical CAD (MCAD) system at his disposal, KREOD’s Chun Qing Li feels like he’s getting there.

Desktop Engineering (DTE) annual ‘BeyondBIM' event aims to promote and engage with the design and construction market, highlighting customers, engineers, construction and signature architects who have gone beyond the capabilities of today’s Building Information Modelling (BIM) systems and are typically looking to go straight to digital fabrication.

KREOD has revealed planes for a 1,200 square meter international trade pavilion for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Floating on a platform in the Barra de Tijuca lagoon adjacent to Olympic Park, the pavilion is expected to bring together entrepreneurs and industry leaders from Brazil, the United Kingdom and China to discuss the future of business and showcase their products.
